Collect copies of all awards and recognition before summer. You'll need these for applications!

What to Collect

Academic Awards

• Honor roll certificates
• Subject awards
• Academic competition results
• Perfect attendance (if applicable)

Activity Awards

• Competition placements
• Leadership recognition
• Performance awards
• Athletic achievements

Community Awards

• Volunteer recognition
• Scout awards
• Religious organization awards
• Community service certificates

How to Request

From School

• Ask teachers who gave awards
• Check with the front office
• Visit the counseling office
• Request before the year ends

From Organizations

• Contact organization leaders
• Check your email for digital copies
• Request duplicates if needed

Organizing Your Records

Physical System

• Create a folder for original documents
• Label with date and award name
• Store in a safe place

Digital System

• Scan or photograph everything
• Name files clearly (AwardName_Organization_Date)
• Store in cloud folder
• Back up regularly

Tracking System

Create a list including:

• Award name
• Issuing organization
• Date received
• Category (academic, activity, service)
• Grade level
