Does Solyo.ai integrate with Canvas?
Yes. Solyo processes emails from Canvas automatically. When your child's school sends grade updates, assignment notifications, or course announcements through Canvas, Solyo extracts that information and organizes it in your dashboard alongside data from other school platforms.
How Solyo Works with Canvas
Solyo does not connect directly to Canvas. Instead, it processes the emails that Canvas sends to your inbox. When a teacher posts a grade, updates an assignment, or shares a course announcement, Canvas sends an email notification. Solyo's Gmail integration brings those emails in, extracts the relevant information, and organizes it in your dashboard.
This means you do not need to share your Canvas login credentials with Solyo. You simply connect your email account, and Solyo handles the rest.
Make sure your Canvas email notifications are turned on in your school's parent portal. The more notifications Canvas sends, the more complete your Solyo dashboard will be.
What Solyo Captures from Canvas Emails
- Grade updates: when a teacher enters or changes a grade
- Assignment notifications: new assignments, due dates, and submission confirmations
- Course announcements: messages from teachers about class activities or schedule changes
- Calendar events: upcoming deadlines and school events
All of this appears in one dashboard alongside information from other school platforms like PowerSchool, so you do not need to check multiple systems.
Solyo works with Canvas by processing the email notifications Canvas sends. No direct login or API connection is needed. Just connect your email and Solyo organizes your child's Canvas updates automatically.
