When college representatives visit your school, it's a wonderful opportunity to learn about their institution and make a personal connection. These visits are worth prioritizing!

Before the Visit

• Get the schedule from your counselor and sign up early
• Research the school: their programs, campus culture, recent news
• Prepare 2-3 thoughtful questions that AREN'T easily answered on their website

Great Questions to Ask

• "What qualities do admitted students at your school tend to share?"
• "What's something about your school that surprises most visitors?"
• "How would you describe the academic culture?"

During and After

• Take notes on what you learn
• Introduce yourself briefly: "Hi, I'm [Name], and I'm really interested in your [specific program]"
• Get their business card if offered
• Send a brief thank-you email within 48 hours
