Connecting Gmail is the part families ask about most, so here is exactly what happens, in six plain sentences. The privacy policy is the long form.

   Google sign-in only

   Solyo never asks for or stores a password. The Gmail integration runs through Google OAuth, the same way you sign in to any Google app.

2. 02

   School email, and nothing else

   The integration syncs messages from schools, teachers and colleges. Your personal mail is not part of it and not what Solyo is for.

3. 03

   The fact is kept, not the email

   A grade, a date, a deadline. The extracted facts are what Solyo stores, and they are deleted automatically after 30 days. Your inbox is never archived.

   Disconnect in one click

   Remove Solyo at myaccount.google.com/permissions whenever you want and the sync stops immediately. You can also request deletion from Account Settings, done within 24 hours.

   Never sold, never shared

   Solyo is paid for by subscriptions, so there is no incentive to monetize your family’s data. It is not sold, shared or licensed to anyone.

6. 06

   Built for the laws that apply

   Solyo works with emails sent to you as a parent, not district records, so FERPA does not restrict your use of it. Solyo is GDPR and CCPA compliant: you can access or delete your data at any time.
