Confirm Cal Grant GPA submission

Overview

For California students, Cal Grant eligibility requires both FAFSA submission AND GPA verification from your school. This is a behind-the-scenes process, but worth confirming!

How It Works

Most California high schools electronically submit student GPAs to the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). Juniors can opt-in to have their GPA submitted early.

Verification Steps

1. Ask your school counselor: "Has our school submitted GPAs to CSAC for Cal Grant?"
2. If unsure, check your status at mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov
3. If your school doesn't submit electronically, you may need a paper form from csac.ca.gov

Deadline

GPA must be submitted by March 2, 2026 along with FAFSA/California Dream Act.
