May 1 is National College Decision Day-the official deadline to commit to your college choice. This is a critical milestone: you'll submit your enrollment deposit, formally accept one school, and decline your other acceptances. After this date, your journey as a high school student begins its final countdown, and your college adventure officially kicks off!

Decide on Your College
- Weigh factors: academics, location, cost, campus culture, major offerings

- Trust your gut-you'll thrive wherever you choose if you're intentional about it
-
Submit Your Enrollment Deposit
- Log into your chosen college's admissions portal
- Locate "Commit" or "Accept Enrollment" button
- Submit the deposit (typically $100-$500, non-refundable)

-
Formally Decline Other Schools
- Send polite decline emails to other colleges
- Template: "Thank you for admitting me to [School]. After careful consideration, I've decided to enroll at [Your College]. I'm grateful for the opportunity."
- Some colleges have a portal decline option-use it if available
-
Update Your Records
- Notify your high school counselor of your final choice
- Update Solyo Dashboard with your commitment
- Save all confirmation emails from your chosen college
