Unlike Plan A it carries an annual income limit, set at $22,941 for 2026-27. The income test counts the student's adjusted gross income for the prior year PLUS the value of any support received from a parent, which in practice makes Plan B much harder for a dependent senior living at home than the headline figure suggests.
